Contractor registration, using Digital ID

Before you start

Make sure you have access to Digital ID, such as myID.   

CRIIS uses a Standard Proofing level to verify your identity, before connecting with your Digital ID you will need to ensure the Digital ID you use to connect with has the appropriate verification level.

What is Digital ID?

Digital ID lets you access online services without looking for physical ID documents or going to a government or business office.

Using a Digital ID means fewer organisations will need to keep your personal information. This will lower the chances of your data being stolen. 

A Digital ID will:

• reduce the need to remember usernames and passwords to sign into online services.
• enable more services to be offered online with a secure way to check your ID wherever you are, at any time.
• not replace any of your ID documents. It will give you a simpler and safer way to prove your ID online.

What is myID?

myID is the Australian Government’s Digital ID app. Download the myID app to your smart device to prove who you are when logging in to government online services like CRIIS.

Set up your myID?

Set up your myID in 3 steps:

1. Download the myID app from Google Play or the App Store to your compatible smart device. Only download the myID app from the official app store.
2. Enter your details – open the myID app and follow the prompts to enter your full name, date of birth and personal email address.
3. Verify your identity – to access CRIIS. You will need at least a Standard identity strength.

How to register and sign in to CRIIS using myID?

Steps to follow

1. Go to the CRIIS sign-in page.
2. Select Continue with Digital ID.
3. Select myID as your identity provider.
4. Enter your myID email address, then select Get code. Tip: select ‘Remember me’ to login faster when using the same device and browser in future. You won’t need to enter your email and the 4-digit code will be pre-filled in your app.
5. A 4-digit code will appear on the login screen.
6. Log into your myID app using your 10-character password, fingerprint or face. Tip: to login faster, you can enable fingerprint or face in Settings in your myID app.
7. Enter or accept the 4-digit code in your myID app.
8. Go back to CRIIS to provide consent to sharing the information outlines on screen. Only a small amount of your information is passed to CRIIS. This includes name, date of birth, and contact details.
