Contractor guide to CRIIS relationships

Contractor guide to CRIIS relationships

A 'how-to' guide for Contractors on navigating CRIIS relationships.

This guide explains how contractors can manage their relationships with suppliers in CRIIS, including how to initiate connections, manage permissions, and remove relationships.

How to connect with suppliers?

There are two ways to connect with suppliers in CRIIS:

  • Send an invitation.
  • Receive an invitation.

Note: CRIIS does not replace normal conversations that you would have with a contact at an organisation. You should still manage these supplier relationships outside of the CRIIS platform.

To send an invitation

  1. Go to the My Relationships page.
  2. Add the supplier organisation name to the search bar and select search🗨️
  3. Find the supplier you wish to connect with from the list and select Link Service Provider.
  4. Select your preferred Permission Level.
  5. Add a personalised message.
  6. Select Send.

🗨️ Note: If a supplier is not in the search it may be because it either has a different trading name or is not available under the panel.

Receiving an invitation

  1. Go to the My Relationships page.
  2. Review the pending requests.
  3. Choose to Accept or Decline the request.
  4. If you accept the request, select your preferred Permission Level.

⚠️ Pending requests expire after 30 days. If the invitation expires, simply send or request a new invitation.

How to remove a relationship?

To remove a relationship:

  1. Go to the My Relationships page.
  2. Review your active relationships.
  3. Select the and choose ‘Remove relationship’ (this option will not appear if there is an active Work Order with that supplier).
  4. Confirm the relationship removal.

If you have removed a relationship in error, simply send a new invitation.

Note: You can only remove a relationship if you are not assigned to an active Work Order.

How to manage permissions?

The CRIIS platform uses permission levels to protect privacy by allowing you to control who can access your information.

Permission level definitions

Permission Level 1 (default) is the access level that is set when a relationship is not established. Only your work history is visible via the CRIIS ID. Identifying information such as your name is not displayed until a relationship above this level is established.

You can select:

  • Permission Level 2 includes level 1 permission as well as:
    • increased visibility of your personal information (i.e. name).
    • ability for suppliers to put you forward for upcoming work and link Contractor account details to a Work Order (if successful).
    • ability for suppliers to review and endorse timesheets submitted against an active Work Order under the relationship.
    • ability for suppliers to report information recorded through assigned Work Orders and timesheets to Finance.
  • Permission Level 3 includes level 1 and 2 permissions as well as the ability for suppliers to submit a timesheet on your behalf. This permission level can only be set by contractors (speak to your supplier before providing Permission Level 3 as not all suppliers may intend to submit timesheets on behalf of contractors).

For more information on Permission Levels, see the Privacy Statement.

To change a permission level

To change the permission level granted to a supplier, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the My Relationships page
  2. Review your active relationships.
  3. Select the ⋮ and choose Change permissions.
  4. Select the preferred permission level.
  5. Confirm the permission level change.

Increasing a permission level from level 2 to level 3 simply means that the supplier can submit timesheets on your behalf. The supplier can downgrade back to level 2 if they do not wish to submit timesheets on your behalf.

See the privacy statement for more information on how privacy is managed on CRIIS.
