Agency registration guide

Agency registration guide

A 'how-to' guide for Agency users registering for access to CRIIS.

How to create an agency user account in CRIIS?

You need to be invited to access CRIIS for your agency. This invitation usually comes from your agency's CRIIS administrator, referred to as the CRIIS Agency Administrator.

If you have any questions about your agency’s access or use of CRIIS, we recommend contacting your Central Procurement team in the first instance.

What to do when you get the invitation

  1. You will receive an invitation email from no-reply@criis.gov.au. The email may arrive to your spam or junk folder.
  2. Open the email and follow the verification link. The link will take you to a page to enter a verification code.
  3. Enter the verification code, then select Verify.

Note: The verification link expires after 24 hours. If it expires, you will need to request a new invitation from your organisation's CRIIS administrator.

After you verify your email, you’ll be taken to the registration form.

  1. Enter your details in the form.
  2. Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement, then tick the box to accept them.
  3. Select Register to complete your registration.

If you already have access to another platform within the Central Procurement Systems ecosystem (such as AusTender Administration), you might not need to create a new account for CRIIS. Instead, when you are invited by a CRIIS Agency Administrator, you will receive an email confirming your CRIIS access and prompting you to sign in.

You may be asked to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if it’s not already active. If you’ve previously enabled MFA for one of these platforms, it will automatically apply to CRIIS as well. If you’ve lost access to your MFA method or it’s been disabled, follow the instructions to reset it.

First time signing in? Set up MFA.

After you verify your email, you’ll be asked to sign in. Use the email address you registered with and the password you created.

When you sign in for the first time, you’ll be asked to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA). This adds extra security to your account. Follow the prompts to complete the setup.
